Backing Up Data

*This is a sponsored post*

Twice in my career I have totally lost the hard drive in my computer and both times it was catastrophic to my business. All of my emails, files, presentations, sales proposals, contract forms, financial information, all gone.

When it happened I was so angry I boycotted technology for two weeks, all of this was over 10 years ago. Today I, and am sure you as well are so much more dependent on our personal technology. Do you have a data backup plan? Are you actually doing it?

If you don't have a plan and are not taking action to do backups of your information then I implore you to do so. I would also encourage you to check out IBackUp.

iBackup offers both online backup and online storage for a very attractive price. They even have a product for backing up your Quickbooks.

IBackup Professional online backup and storage solutions can also help you in meeting federal mandates such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), GLBA and SEC/ NASD acts.

It’s best to plan for a disaster before it strikes check out IBackup

I like the fact that IBackup has been ranked at the top 3 for a while now at the online backup ranking website:

The distinct advantage of IBackup over others is that it’s an optimum solution for all kinds of consumers. It’s an online storage service that you must have before you cringe over data lost due to a virus, theft or a computer glitch.

IBackup does efficient incremental backups that transfers file modifications through your Internet connection to a secure online storage location with 128-bit SSL encryption. My firm has found IBackup an ideal solution for managing a demanding network infrastructure. Backups and restores are fast and the interface is very cool to work with, unlike another similar software called Streamload.

Another benefit of using IBackup is that this multi-platform remote online storage and backup service also allows advanced tasks like MS SQL and MS Exchange database. Proper use of IBackup can surely bring in increasing profitability and consumer satisfaction.

  3. I'm not sure if this is similar to another product I've heard of that automatically backs up documents if you modify them on your computer. That's pretty ideal, a back-up system you don't even need to back-up; it does it automatically. However, that's pretty expensive. I opt for the two flash drives (2gb each) and back-up all my business files each week along with emails and contacts. It's worked pretty well for me so far and only cost me $30. Any other ideas for under $50???
